personal - GemStone IV interview with TRULLEY

Interview with Trulley

Interview held on Day of the Huntress, day 22 of the month Lormesta in the year 5110

QUESTIONS

1: What is your name (required) and training level (not essential)

Trulley - I have visited the trainer ten times

2: How long have you wandered the lands?

I am new to the lands and have been here for about a month. I did travel through the lands for a very brief time seven years ago but only stayed for six months. So I feel I am very new.

3: What hunting style do you opt for?

Two handed strong arm attack.

4: What percentage of your time do you spend hunting? How do you spend your other time?.

75 percent hunting, 10 percent hanging with the blackwolves who i have just joined and 5 percent begging for spells, 10 percent just talking to anyone that will talk to me. I am trying to up the talking and the hanging with the wolves to 50. I am more interested in a good combination of socializing and hanging.

5: What is and/or was your most enjoyable hunting area and why?

Grimswarm camps. The activities are fun, and adventurous.

6: What do you enjoy most about your time in the lands?

Adventures, guild, activities that bring hunt and if I can use a outer world word here role play. Its all about the role play.

7: Is there anyone within the lands that you admire? (Any profession) Who and why?

I would say its a group of people, the blackwolves, its about sharing abilities and not just hording, and collecting, and owning. I am fairly new here and new to this group but I am hoping that they will live up to my admirations.

8: What has been your best moment in the lands so far?

I was trying to get through a difficult level of the Gos, which I am now almost 3/4 done with, and I had to travel around to all the lands for it. Being so young in trainings made it difficult, being so young in the lands meaning that I have no silvers made it hard. I got through it with tons of help from old timers. It was very endearing and made me want to stay in the land.

9: What has been your worst moment in the lands so far?

Taking advice on using a script for buying deeds. I think the person who gave it to me was not thinking that I was as new as i was, I lost half of my silvers from that script.

10: What advice would you give to a new warrior?

To mostly accept that people are good not always wanting from you. To get to know people, to socialize and not worry about the silvers and owning everything in site. To enjoy the journey not just the destination.

11: If you had to do it all again, knowing what you now know, would you do anything differently?

I would do more research on each step I am taking but I'm a kind of a 'wing it as I go' person, so I am not sure I can take my own advice.

12: Is there anything you want to add to this interview?

I would love to see forums for people who are taking up new professions, since there are less complete new people like myself. Perhaps an add to the Gods above to allow for more changes in professions to start over from the very beginning without having to add family members.
