[Pathway, The Clearing]
A large black marble edifice stands in the clearing, nestled snuggly at 
the base of the nearby mountains.  Veins of silver and gold intertwine 
uninterrupted along the stonework, and closer inspection reveals nary a visible 
seam anywhere along the outer wall.  At first glance the building 
would appear to be formed from a single, solid piece of rock.  Set into 
the smooth marble wall is a platinum-banded ironwood door.

Roblar deeply asks, "In time?"

You chuckle at Aubriella.

Roblar deeply asks, "Who needs blockers?"

Roblar heavily pounds one of his fists into the other, producing a loud 
clap.

Aubriella begins chuckling at Roblar!

Roblar chuckles to himself.

You say, "Am gonna be a spectator only."

Aiza says, "Ugh, I need GM powers."

Vanah just arrived.

Aiza ponders.

Speaking deeply to you, Roblar says, "Oh, don't want ta miss dis."

Aubriella asks, "Who's going to make me rich?"

Aubriella removes a Borthuum Mining Company scrip from in her silver survival 
kit.

Aubriella waves a Borthuum Mining Company scrip around.

Wyrom taps himself on the chest.

Sirina grins.

You say, "Last heckling session for me alas."

You say, "The final round is on too late for me."

Roblar glances over at you and winces.

Aubriella gives a short little hum of surprise.

Wyrom exclaims, "I guess I should head in and get ready!"

Nuadjha says, "Good luck, all."

Nuadjha chuckles.

Wyrom renders a sharp hand salute.

Nuadjha exclaims, "We'll be watching!"

Sirina waves.

Aubriella lets out a cheer!

You ask, "Naked GM - wonder which end of the spyglass we are going to have 
to look through?"

Sirina grins at you.

Jyax laughs at you!

Aubriella giggles at you.

A shaft of scintillating light suddenly jumps out of the sky and strikes 
the ground next to you.  The beam of light then explodes in a shower of 
sparks and Kveta is standing in its place.

Kveta rubs her clothes.

You say, "Gonna get my normal seat."

(I make my way to the Peridot Room and take a seat)


You hear Lithyia call out from a nearby observation box, "May scarabs eat 
your insides!"

You hear Cylnthia call out from a nearby observation box, "Need moar runners!"

You start randomly watching contestants, turning your attention to Wyrom.
You take a look at Wyrom's surroundings and see...
[Droughtman's Maze, Entrance Box]
The room appears to be devoid of light, sound, or even the essence of existence 
itself.  Dark voids and constantly moving shadows combine with the crunch of 
fine gravel under foot.  A steady wind pushes back at all who pass, as though 
warning would-be contestants that they may wish to pray to their favored patron 
before venturing further.  A black marble building lies in the center of this 
nothingness, with a single doorway offering the only possible way to more 
inviting surroundings.  You also see a scoring display, an armor stand with 
some stuff on it, a weapons rack with some stuff on it and a LARGE sign that 
you feel you really must read.

Droughtman asks, "Can they watch us in here?"

Sirina nods.

Quyorque says, "Gah, I forgot they could watch us."

Vanah says, "Yes."

Annorax yells, "Yes, Droughtman!"

You hear Seomanthe call out from a nearby observation box, "Yes!"

Droughtman stares off into space.

Wyrom works his way into some steel full plate.

Jainna nods.

Sirina chuckles.

Quyorque grumbles.

You belt out, "Wyrom - are you doing room order or spinning?"

Droughtman laughs!

Sirina puts a heavy backpack on her back.

Droughtman says, "Oops."

You hear Greganth call out from a nearby observation box, "I am watching!"

You hear Quinion call out from a nearby observation box, "We can Heeeeear 
you!"

You hear Wyrom call out from the entrance box, "Room order, that's my M.O."

You hear Siwas call out from a nearby observation box, "I want to watch Tamuz 
die, not kill people!"

You hear Droughtman call out from the entrance box, "He's going to do fumble 
around, yell alot, and play drunk."

Jainna says, "The super secret way to win Elanthia iiiisss..."

Quyorque asks, "Meh, who designed this?"

Jainna coughs.

Quyorque stares off into space.

You belt out, "Haha!"

Aiza just arrived.

Aiza points at Vanah.

You hear Tamuz call out from the blockers' lounge, "What do you mean "play 
drunk"?"

Aiza says, "You still touch the Force."

You belt out, "No cheating - altering the maze to fashion a door is not 
permitted!"

You hear Balinworn call out from a nearby observation box, "Ya all git ready. 
The race will begin... RSN."

Aiza chuckles.

A shaft of scintillating light suddenly pierces the ceiling and strikes the 
ground next to you.  The beam of light then explodes in a shower of sparks 
and Kveta is standing in its place.

Wyrom exclaims, "Why is there no main gauche, arrrrrggggh!"

Droughtman stares at Kveta.

Aiza says, "Lessee."

You hear Senglent call out from a nearby observation box, "Where's the Itzzy 
bitzy Itzie!"

Aiza asks, "What am I equipped for?"

Kveta asks, "Do I have to go through a door somewhere?"

Droughtman says, "Done."

Aiza puts a heavy backpack on her back.

You hear Nuadjha call out from a nearby observation box, "I'm not sure who to 
root for! So, equal deaths for all!"

Droughtman says, "Yes."

Aiza exclaims, "I have round time!"

Aiza says, "Noooo."

Aiza says, "OH wait,"

Sirina grins at Aiza.

Kveta mumbles something under her breath.

Aiza says, "I can wear hauberk."

Aiza says, "I trained for it."

You hear Greganth call out from a nearby observation box, "I want to see the 
Kenitzie baby run!"

Kveta gestures and a shaft of scintillating light from somewhere above pierces the 
ceiling and engulfs her.  When the light recedes Kveta is no longer there.

Aiza works her way out of some steel brigandine armor.

Wyrom removes a silvered glacial crystal wand from in his heavy backpack.

Aiza put some steel brigandine armor on an armor stand.

Sirina says, "Droughtman has to set you up to block."

Vanah just arrived.

You hear Droughtman call out from the entrance box, "Keep dreaming."

Jainna yawns.

Aiza works her way into a steel chain hauberk.

You hear Karibeth call out from a nearby observation box, "No!!!! Not that!!!"

Aiza says, "Tada."

Droughtman stares at Vanah.

You hear Balinworn call out from a nearby observation box, "If you have any 
technical questions about how the Challenge is run you'll need to assist and 
ask for a referral."

Vanah exclaims, "My internet dropped me!"

You hear Nuadjha call out from a nearby observation box, "It doesn't run; it 
lumbers!"

Jainna begins chuckling at Vanah!

Droughtman says, "Okay.. off to find the second blocker."

Aiza says, "Small group tonight."

Sirina drops some double leather.

Sirina works her way into some steel brigandine armor.

Aiza strikes a heroic pose.

Vanah asks, "Do I still have the title?"

You belt out, "Sirina, are you safe to be in there with that rabble?"

Wyrom says, "No."

Jainna says, "I feel so blind."

Droughtman says, "Nuh uh."

Vanah exclaims, "Hooray!"

Aiza says, "I know."

Kveta says, "Okay, I'm back."

You hear Sirina call out from the entrance box, "I think they're plotting 
a mutiny!"

You hear Greganth call out from a nearby observation box, "If Kenstrom is running 
I will block!"

You hear Karibeth call out from a nearby observation box, "Course she's not!"

Kveta asks, "Hmm?"

Annorax yells, "Hope you all still remember how to move like mortals!"

Aiza says, "Kveta's being a blocker.. so I don't know how that works."

Droughtman exclaims, "Kveta, why are you in here?  Get out!"

Sirina grins.

Aiza waves to Kveta.

Kveta exclaims, "I don't know where I'm supposed to be!"

Kveta snorts!

Droughtman exclaims, "Out, out, out!"

Droughtman exclaims, "This doesn't need QC, just leave!"

Droughtman winks at Kveta.

Aiza snorts!

Kveta says, "If someone would make ROOMS with OUTS."

Sirina snickers.

Kveta says, "It would be EASIER."

Droughtman chuckles.

Aiza exclaims, "Use your GM powers!"

Jainna laughs!

Aiza stares off into space.

Kveta chuckles.

Droughtman says, "Follow m e."

Kveta asks, "Where do you want me?"

Droughtman just left.

Aiza asks, "Don't we still need another blocker?"

Kveta gestures and a shaft of scintillating light from somewhere above pierces 
the ceiling and engulfs her.  
When the light recedes Kveta is no longer there.

You belt out, "Droughtman, this is your last chance to marry me ye know!"

Sirina gazes thoughtfully at a weapons rack.

Aiza rubs her crystal amulet.

Aiza gets an odd look on her face.

Aiza says, "Hrm."

Aiza says, "Pills."

You hear Greganth call out from a nearby observation box, "Dont forget to lick 
your wands for luck!"

Sirina grins.

Sirina removes a silvered glacial crystal wand from in her heavy backpack.

Sirina looks over at Aiza and shakes her head.

Aiza says, "I only know bardly things."

Vanah says, "Ignore my warrior with armored evasion up."

Droughtman says, "We'll be starting in a moment."

Droughtman says, "Please take a moment to read the signs."

Vanah adjusts Quyorque's cloth robes, improving its comfort and maneuverability.
Wyrom gets a blank look on his face.

Jainna giggles at Droughtman.

Aiza says, "Yes master killerdoodguy."

Droughtman says, "Also not that once the event begins you will find one 
exit from the room."

Quyorque smirks.

Droughtman says, "I urge you all to take that exit as fast as possible, 
pull as many ropes as possible, and to definitely fall alot."

You belt out, "100000 silvers from my Kharam-Dzu account for the first 
GM to change Droughtman into a frog when ye get outta here!"

You hear Wyrom call out from the entrance box, ":(!"

Wyrom pulls a dangling length of rope and you hear a loud *CLICK*.  The rope 
then suddenly disappears from view!

Suddenly, razor sharp shards flying at very high speeds appear!
Wyrom screams in agony as razor-sharp shards fly into his body!
   ... 35 points of damage!
   Strike to right arm cleanly severs it at the shoulder!
   He is knocked to the ground!
   He is stunned!

The voice of an announcer echoes, "Challenger Wyrom just pulled a rope and 
triggered an explosion of razor-sharp shards! DUCK!"
